Allie & Ben met seven years during a fluke meeting at First Presbyterian Church and while they shared an instant connection, their busy lives took them in opposite directions.
A few months later, Allie & Ben crossed paths once again during a class trip to Bowling Green State University for a Journalism Convention. They had forgotten about each other but it didn’t take long for Allie & Ben to start up a friendship that inevitably evolved into a relationship.
They “remembered” each other when they attended the convention at BGSU and then they later developed into Falcon Flames at BGSU, meeting so many great people along the way.
For several months Ben brainstormed the perfect way to propose to Allie. Ben was confident that he knew what Allie’s answer would be but he needed to find the perfect way to incorporate the things that were so important to each of them into a moment they’d never forget.
On August 11, 2011, with the help of 12 of their closest friends, Ben sent Allie on a scavenger hunt around the Bowling Green campus. Allie’s adventure began with a car ride to Harshman and ended with a proposal at the university seal.
Ben & Allie recently graduated from Bowling Green State University and have moved back to Mansfield, Ohio. Allie operates ‘Alexandra Rae Designs’ from her spacious studio in their new home, while Ben spends his days as an Inside Sales Representative for AcelorMittal in Shelby, Ohio.
